Police and Sheriff's Patrol Officers
Maintain order and protect life and property by enforcing local, tribal, state, or federal laws and ordinances. Perform a combination of the following duties: patrol a specific area; direct traffic; issue traffic summonses; investigate accidents; apprehend and arrest suspects, or serve legal processes of courts. Includes police officers working at educational institutions.

Admissions
To help prepare for the academy, here are some goals to strive for:
- At least 25 correct push-ups in one minute
- At least 30 correct sit-ups in one minute
- 1.5 mile run in fifteen minutes and fifty-four (15:54) seconds or less (walking during any portion is disqualification)
- 300-meter sprint in sixty-six (:66) seconds or less (walking during any portion is disqualification)
