This course starts with an overview of professional billing, coding, and health insurance basics. The course consists of three parts. The first part will serve as a foundation for learning Medical Terminology, which you will use in a medical office or hospital setting. The second part will focus on the detailed learning of the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), including the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), procedure and diagnosis coding required for billing and reimbursement in healthcare.
