The Medical Assisting Certificate program prepares students for careers as medical assistants in ambulatory settings such as medical offices, urgent care centers, and clinics. Medical assistants perform both clinical and administrative duties, including patient care, minor procedures, record management, billing, and diagnostic testing. Graduates are eligible to take the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
