The Medical Assisting Technical Certificate prepares students to be competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the medical assisting profession. The coursework is designed to develop skills in critical thinking, effective communication, knowledge integration, information literacy, and life-long learning. This is a full-time, intensive program.

Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
