Commercial Electrician Apprenticeship
Commercial Electrician Apprenticeship
at Hillsborough Community College
Central Florida Catalog
The HCC Apprenticeship programs are part of a federally structured training system in which the apprentice works full-time during the day for a sponsoring employer learning the skills of the trade, and completes classroom related instruction in the evening or on weekends. Almost all electricians work full time. Work schedules may include evenings and weekends. Overtime is common. Most electricians learn through an apprenticeship, but some start out by attending a technical school. Most states require electricians to be licensed.
