Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector has an opening for Lab Electronic Technician 3/4, Test Labs to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Integration, Test and Evaluation department. This position is located in Melbourne, FL.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Under supervision, the Lab Test Technician performs developmental, experimental and production aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, installation, and testing tasks in a field of specialization; electrical / electronic, mechanical or instrumentation. Instructs, coordinates and performs the duties / functions of Flight Test personnel in area(s) of assignment. Determines the sequence for installing, removing, maintaining, repairing or fabricating critical aircraftponents, or electrical / electronic, mechanical or instrumentation systems. Performs testing, rework and repair in various fields of specialization. Applies shop theory and skills in aplishing assigned tasks working from iplete engineering, electronic data, blues, sketches, engineering drawings, technical orders and written and verbal instructions. Works from blues, engineering orders, schematics, repair manuals and other technical documents on aircraft electrical / electronic, mechanical, plumbing, and hydraulics, power plant, structures or instrumentation systems. Performs drilling, reaming, fitting, assembly, trimming, riveting, splicing, insulating and other associated duties as assigned. Performs electrical, mechanical or instrumentation maintenance, repair and testing in support of specific flight test projects. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains various types ofplex aircraft equipment,ponents, devices or systems. Performs modifications and adjustments as necessary. Notifies lead personnel or supervision of any / all malfunctions, defects and damages of equipment, material and product. Checks work forpleteness and accuracy. Performs Production Accountability duties associated with the processing, verification, quality auditing and inspection of assemblies, parts and tooling for which the individual has been delegated production accountability. May be required to work in other field's incidental to, and in connection withpletion of assignment. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. •This role can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4•Basic Qualifications for a Level 3: High School diploma or equivalent and 4 year's additional education and/or related experience with electrical systems, wire and harness repair and fabrication. Ability to work non-standard hours and multiple shifts. Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by thepany. Must be able to work from extended work platforms at elevated heights and for extended period of time Basicputer proficiency (MS, Word, Excel, Outlook)Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of schematic diagrams and other engineering documentation. Experience working in a production, operational or test environment. Understanding of ply orientation and vacuum bagging process. Ability toplete repairs onposite materials. Electrical certificationSalary Range:
$55,800.00 - $93,000.00Salary Range 2: $66,300.00 - $110,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Other Job Posting Details
