Medical Billing and Coding and its related occupations are among the fastest-growing opportunities in the healthcare industry. This MBC Certificate program will prepare learners for rewarding careers in a wide array of medical settings such as medical record coders, insurance billers and health information technicians. This Medical Billing and Coding Certificate program covers a standard block of modules necessary to obtain the foundational knowledge needed in billing and coding. In addition, covers essential sciences topics and modules in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease pathology, and CPC Certification Exam preparation. This program provides learners with the knowledge and skills needed to perform diagnostic coding, using the ICD-10 coding systems, and procedural coding. Upon completion of the program, learners will be proficient in comprehending medical records, coding diagnoses and procedures for reimbursement and research purposes. This program will also prepare learners for the CPC certification examination. Note: The CPC certification examination is not included in this MBC Certificate program.
