This program is a core component of the Tech Careers FastTrack program, preparing participants for Customer Success and Software Quality Assurance positions. These are the first steps in the career progression toward becoming a Software Developer. The program emphasizes functions of primary computer operating systems, basic coding and web-page development skills, technical communication, project management, and portfolio development. All classes in this certificate program can be applied toward a related Associates Degree. This program is not eligible for financial aid. However, it may be eligible for scholarship funding if the student is awarded scholarships.

Software Developers
Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, and develop specifications and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
