Prepares students to sit for the certified professional bookkeeper examination administered by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. Skills Certificates provide training for entry-level positions or career advancement and are designed to prepare students to take state, national, and/or industry-recognized certifications or licensing exams. Skills certificates are awarded upon completion of coursework and marked on a student's transcripts at the end of the semester (Students are unable to declare intent to complete a skills certificate.)
This program is not eligible for financial aid. However, it may be eligible for scholarship funding if the student is awarded scholarships.

Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Auditing Clerks
Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
