There are many choices for employment for Practical Nursing graduates including hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and home health care. LPNs may be hired as private nurses. Many health insurance companies are hiring LPNs to answer patients' questions concerning health needs. The Practical Nursing program provides an educational foundation for career mobility to associate or baccalaureate RN programs.

These courses must be completed prior to starting the program. In addition, students must have completed the Accuplacer with scores above the cutoff points for Practical Nursing or successful completion of equivalent course work. * A minimum grade of C" or better and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above in prerequisite coursework is required to be considered for admission to the Practical Nursing Program. *Prerequisites may be taken up to 3 times per the college policy to increase your chances of getting into the PN program.
