The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVAC/R) program at Southwestern Illinois College is designed to prepare students for careers in the HVAC/R industry. The program offers both an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree and a certification program. Students will learn how to repair and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The curriculum includes courses in refrigeration and air conditioning principles, heating fundamentals, electrical controls and systems, and more.
