Requirements for Admission File Completion:

  1. A pre-admission conference with the coordinator or the coordinator’s designee is required prior to an applicant’s consideration by the Practical Nursing Admissions Committee.
  2. Application for admission to the college;
  3. Application for the Program.
  4. Official high school transcript indicating that the applicant has or will complete a high school course of study or a passing GED official score report.
  5. Official transcripts of postsecondary work completed at other institutions;
  6. Results of ACT or Compass (within the last 3 years), Wonderlic or other HCTC assessment; and
  7. Results of the National League of Nursing- Pre-Admission Exam (PAX) Preference for admission will be given to students who:
  8. Demonstrated above average standing in high school or on the General Education Development Examination (GED).
  9. Have PAX scores above 85
  10. Have a GPA of 3.0 or better after 12 or more hours of credit from a regionally accredited college.
