The Truck Driver Training program prepares individuals to drive tractor-trailer rigs. This course teaches proper driving procedures, safe driver responsibility, commercial motor vehicle laws and regulations, and the basic principles and practices for operating commercial vehicles. The coursework includes motor vehicle laws and regulations, map reading, vehicle maintenance, safety procedures, daily logs, defensive driving, freight handling, security, and fire protection. Highway driving training exercises and classroom lectures are used to develop the student’s knowledge and skills. (Up to $925 may be available to assist with the cost of the truck driving program! Admissions

- CDL A or CDL B Permit – (Must be valid through the end of the course student is registered for) – depending on the course you are taking (SC Driver’s License not accepted)
