This career certificate program prepares students for employment or advanced training in the heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration industry. The program consists of classroom as well as hands-on lab study. Areas of study include planning, installing, testing, and servicing HVACR systems, servicing, installing, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components, and basic supervisory skills. Students will gain knowledge in the use and care of hand, power, and specialized tools and equipment used within the industry and current industry standards, practices, and techniques.

Candidates must:

- If non-exempt, complete the Form 11, Level D Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and successfully meet the following minimum scores to complete the program:
- Language: 584
- Math: 627
- Reading: 576
