The Training Division is comprised of the Professional Development Unit and Basic Recruit Staff. These highly skilled individuals work collaboratively to provide the highest level of training to ensure professional excellence, police legitimacy, and effective policing.  Individuals who wish to pursue a career in law enforcement must be accepted as a recruit into the Basic Recruit Training Course. This California Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) mandated course has been thoughtfully designed to offer each recruit a platform to succeed.
