Earn a Certified Professional Technician credential. The Phlebotomist is a vital member of the clinical laboratory team whose main function is to obtain patient’s blood specimens by performing veni-punctures and capillaries for collection of minute quantities of blood. Students will gain national certification through the Phlebotomy Technician Certification program (CPT), which is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and issues CPT certifications through National Healthcareer Association, Inc.
