The mission of the Welding Technology program is to provide the necessary technical skills, knowledge, and attitudes to prepare students for employment and to provide advanced training in a variety of occupations in the welding industry. The training includes the use of blueprints and/ or shop drawings and, the use of gases and/or welding processes according to diagrams, blueprints, or written specifications. Lab activities include various processes and techniques of oxyacetylene cutting (OFC), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
