This certificate prepares students for a myriad of roles in managing a traditional on-premises infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment to fully-based cloud solutions on cloud computing platforms. Students will be ready for employment in managing serverless architectures while using programming languages such as C++ and Java to develop applications in objects stored in the cloud. In addition, students will be entry-level ready for employment in setting up and managing cloud architectures, and applying best practices in cloud-based security, fault tolerance, and redundancy. Finally, students will deploy a variety of servers into the cloud that includes, but are not limited to, Windows, and Linux; database servers such as SQL, and Amazon’s DynamoDB, and create rule-based policies for management of users and groups to include access rights.

Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
