Construction training is offered in partnership with NYCHA as part of their Resident Training Academy. This is a FREE and intensive 8-week training program that provides participants with knowledge of the building trades and the opportunity to earn industry certificates including OSHA 30 hour and Supported Scaffolding as well as hands-on training in Sustainable Building and Blueprint Reading.

Construct, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures made of wood and comparable materials, such as concrete forms; building frameworks, including partitions, joists, studding, and rafters; and wood stairways, window and door frames, and hardwood floors.
