Portland Catalog
Students who complete the first year of the Graphic Design program may also earn this Career Pathway Certificate (CPCC). It provides students with the basic tools and processes required for working in the creative field. Students will learn how to understand, manipulate, and manage the elements of design – color, composition, and typography – in order to create original designs. Adobe Creative Cloud is used as the core toolset. Within the framework of design and production, students will also: create their own vector art; edit and use raster images; and create complex typographic compositions. Students who complete the CPCC are prepared to work in entry-level positions as production artists.
