Our credit program enables you to perform numerous medical assistant roles in physicians' offices, hospitals and other health care facilities. Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.

Admissions
- Students who wish to be admitted to the Medical Assisting Certificate program must complete a college application, indicating Medical Assisting as the major (C.MA). Working with the Medical Assisting program administrator or academic advisor, the students will plan the course sequence.
- Students will need to complete the College placement asessments‡ in English and Reading and place at or above
