This certificate program is designed to equip students with the basic carpentry skills necessary to enter the construction industry. Through a blend of classroom theory and hands-on experience, students will be introduced to hand tools, power tools, and other equipment commonly used in the industry. Lumber, concrete, and various other materials and hardware, as well as math, blueprint reading, and cost estimation techniques, will also be covered.

May also install cabinets, siding, drywall, and batt or roll insulation. Includes brattice builders who build doors or brattices (ventilation walls or partitions) in underground passageways.
