Dental assistants greatly increase the efficiency of the dental team in the delivery of quality oral health care. If you have strong communication and interpersonal skills, enjoy working with your hands, and want a career with responsibility, dental assisting is for you. Topics included in this class are basic dental sciences, pre-clinical and clinical skills, radiography, restorative and laboratory materials and techniques, practice management and much more. This hands-on class will give you the tools you need to be successful in the industry. However, due to the current situation, a portion of this course may use online components. Books and supplies are all included in the class. Space is limited so register today!

Perform limited clinical duties under the direction of a dentist. Clinical duties may include equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during treatment, and providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures. May perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
