Maintenance Technicians perform a wide variety of troubleshooting, repairing, and preventative maintenance duties in an organization. They could find themselves working with a plethora of systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. KCC’s Maintenance Technician Certificate prepares students to quickly step into one of the thousands of maintenance tech positions currently unfilled in the State of Michigan, while also providing flexibility for student interests as well as the breadth of positions available. This certificate is also intended to be completed in as little as one year.

Carpenters
Construct, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures made of wood and comparable materials, such as concrete forms; building frameworks, including partitions, joists, studding, and rafters; and wood stairways, window and door frames, and hardwood floors. May also install cabinets, siding, drywall, and batt or roll insulation. Includes brattice builders who build doors or brattices (ventilation walls or partitions) in underground passageways.
