The Accounting Specialist program is designed to provide understanding in principles and concepts of accounting. Upon completion of this program, the student among other items would able to:
- Define the fundamental concepts of accounting and finance, corporate forms of business, financial performance
- Discuss tools and techniques of financial analysis, comprehensive ratio analysis, partnership accounting, partnership income and losses, dissolution of partnership, liquidation of partnership,
- Explain company set up, new files, customers, vendors, invoices, purchase orders, and general journal entries and describe how to enter and edit data accurately,
- Discuss vendor payroll services, backup and restore data, create and remove closing dates
- Explain tax guidelines for business startup, EIN numbers, and tax record keeping, save reports and forms as a PDF file, etc.
