Construct, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures made of wood and comparable materials, such as concrete forms; building frameworks, including partitions, joists, studding, and rafters; and wood stairways, window and door frames, and hardwood floors. May also install cabinets, siding, drywall, and batt or roll insulation. Includes brattice builders who build doors or brattices (ventilation walls or partitions) in underground passageways.

PREREQUISITE In order to enroll in Goodwill’s Commercial Carpentry course, you must first successfully complete Goodwill’s Construction Basics course. To successfully complete Goodwill’s Commercial Carpentry training course, you must:
- Have at least an 85% attendance rate
- Achieve a passing score (70%) on all module tests
- Pass the Performance Profile tests for each module
- Complete the practicum (final project) for Carpentry 1
- Complete all activities in Carpentry 2
