This certificate is designed to prepare students for employment in the IT workforce as entry-level Programmers, entry-level Database Programmers, Application Analysts, Programmer Analysts, Business Analysts, System Analysts, PC Support Specialists, Technical Support, User Support Specialists and etc. Students will demonstrate their proficiency through performance in laboratory exercises and objective examinations. The student will analyze simple business or technical problems relevant to programming, and prepare solutions to them; implement a program in either C/C++ or Java, using objects; and demonstrate an understanding of the operations and processes of a computer relevant to programming.
