The standard curriculum for this 8-week program consists of 220 hours of instruction including classroom, lab, range, and an equivalent of 750 miles over the road. Each cohort consists of 16 slots (Day Class) currently. To be considered for the fall semester 2023 (October cohort), please complete the CDL interest link. Please keep in mind that the CDL program is on a first-come, first-serve basis because of high enrollment. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). May be required to unload truck. Requires commercial drivers' license. Includes tow truck drivers.

Admissions
This program is a special admissions program with specific start dates. Class Size Limit: 16 In addition to GPTC’s admissions requirements, this program requires the following to enroll:
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License
- 7-Year motor vehicle report
- Class “A” Learner’s Permit (must obtain prior to orientation/registration)
