Phlebotomy Certificate
at Front Range Community College
Denver Catalog
Begin your career as a phlebotomist — drawing blood for testing, research, transfusions and other needs. At FRCC, you'll have expert faculty, personal attention, and plenty of hands-on training. Plus, our program doesn't take long. Our one-semester phlebotomy program will get you ready for in-demand jobs quickly. Our experienced faculty will teach you the proper technique for blood draws, storage and transfer. Importantly, you'll also learn how to help relax patients and work with donors who may be averse to blood or needles. In this program, you'll practice blood draws and handling in labs and clinical experiences. With your coursework and training, you'll be more than ready to take the certifying exam. Once you pass, you'll be able to work in hospitals, doctor's offices and labs.
