Florida Carpentry Apprenticeship

at Florida Training Services Inc.

Miami Catalog

Carpentry is a skilled trade in which the primary work performed is the cutting, shaping, and installation of building materials during the construction of residential homes, commercial buildings, ships, timber bridges, and concrete form-work. Carpenters traditionally worked with natural wood and did much of the rougher work such as framing, fabrication, and forming. Today, carpentry also includes working with many other material-types (metal framing, composites, etc.) and will sometimes focus on finer, more-detailed projects, such as cabinetmaking and furniture building. Florida Training Services offers (3) program options for our Registered Carpentry Apprenticeship, all in which you will be working in the construction field during the day, while taking classes at night. These include:

  • [Option-1]  (2-Yr)  Framing and Finishing
  • [Option-2]  (2-Yr)  Concrete Forms and Wood-Working
  • [Option-3]  (4-Yr)  Carpentry Program –
  •           [Framing, Finishing, Concrete Forms, & Wood-Working]
