Do you like working with your hands and building things? If you are interested in working in construction, an apprenticeship in carpentry may be right for you. What is a Carpenter? Carpenters construct, install, build and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. They are essential in commercial and residential construction, as well as infrastructure construction like highways and bridges.

Construct, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures made of wood and comparable materials, such as concrete forms; building frameworks, including partitions, joists, studding, and rafters; and wood stairways, window and door frames, and hardwood floors. May also install cabinets, siding, drywall, and batt or roll insulation. Includes brattice builders who build doors or brattices (ventilation walls or partitions) in underground passageways.
