The UNIX/C++ Certificate program is designed for people who wish to upgrade their programming skills to include both C and object-oriented programming using C++ and to increase their knowledge of the UNIX system, including Linux and other variants. The program meets the needs of working professionals who desire to keep abreast of the concepts of object-oriented programming and their application in a UNIX environment and for students who wish to strengthen their degree program with coursework in object-oriented and UNIX programming. This certificate requires successful completion of a minimum of 35 credits as outlined.

Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers
Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software or web developers. Create and maintain databases of known defects. May participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules.
