The Software Testing Short-Term Technical Certificate provides students with the skills to enter a new job field or advance in their current one. Software testing is a career field that could be pursued by anyone interested in working on computers. Short-Term Technical Certificates consist of three to seven courses that can be completed in a year or less. To receive a Certificate of Completion, students must complete the required courses with a cumulative GPA of “C” or better and submit an application for a certificate.

Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers
Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software or web developers. Create and maintain databases of known defects. May participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules.
