Code Kentucky is a state-funded workforce program that prepares residents of northern and eastern Kentucky ages 18+ for a quality career in the technology field. This training program is 100% free to the participant and no previous coding experience is needed. All you need is dedication and a strong interest in learning technology skills. Code Kentucky blends self-guided online learning with weekly virtual meetups and mentorship. Meetups will consist of other students working through your pathway, as well as experienced developers who serve as mentors to help answer your questions and provide a glimpse of what it’s like to work in the tech industry.

Computer User Support Specialists
Provide technical assistance to computer users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or electronically. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

Admissions
To participate in Code Kentucky, you must:
Be 18 years of age or older
Have a High School Diploma or GED
Have a strong desire and commitment to learn advanced technology skills
Be motivated to launch a new career in tech in the next 3-6 months
Have access to a home computer or laptop with stable internet connection (but contact us if you don’t, we might be able to help)
Be able to attend virtual weekly meetups from 6-8pm ET on your assigned night and spend approximately 15-20 hours per week on the program’s curriculum and project work
Live in one of the following counties:
Eastern Kentucky - Bell, Breathitt, Carter, Clay, Elliott, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Johnson, Knott, Knox, Lawrence, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, Menifee, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike, or Wolfe in Kentucky
Northern Kentucky - Boone, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen, or Pendleton in Kentucky; Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, or Warren in Ohio; Dearborn in Indiana
