This program prepares students for jobs installing, repairing, maintaining and servicing electrical and electronics equipment. Electrical/electronics jobs are found in the fields of electrical, medical, industrial, commercial systems, programmable logic controller systems, automotive, communications and others. The following courses are part of the Electricians Trainee Program and approved by the Division of Apprenticeship Standards: EET-100, 101, 105, 130, 210 220, 230, 266, 267, 268, CONST-110, and CNT-103.

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.

Before you begin the application process, it’s a good idea to gather and review the following materials and information:
-Social Security Number. A Social Security Number is not required, but is highly recommended. You must supply a Social Security Number to receive the tax form 1098T or to apply for Financial Aid (including FT3 – our free tuition program available to first time college student only). -DREAMers, read this important information. -If you are not a US citizen, excluding F1 students, you will also need your Alien Registration Number or VISA information. -Previous education information. Know the names and dates (month and year) of all high schools and colleges you’ve attended. -Email address. This is where we’ll send follow-up information about your application. If you do not have one, create one before you apply.
You will also be asked to select an educational goal. An educational goal is what you ultimately hope to achieve at DVC, and can include a certificate, an associates degree, or a transfer to a four year institution.
