The Rising Welder Certificate is an introductory welding program that enables students to obtain entry-level knowledge in Welding processes including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Blueprint reading, and a choice of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) or Introduction to Fabrication. The Welding Technology program will prepare you for a variety of career opportunities. Our faculty draw on their knowledge and experience to ensure student success.

Admissions
- Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
- Complete at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College.
