CDL-A is an accelerated 8-week credentialing program for individuals who want to obtain a Class A drivers license and begin a career as a Professional Tractor Trailer driver. Congreso partners with All-State Career, AAA School of Trucking and Smith & Solomon to run the Class A instruction that is required to obtain the license. Overview: 1 week of permit classes; 5 weeks training; 2 weeks of job readiness training. *Due to COVID related restrictions and safety guidelines, Congreso will be enrolling small classes consisting of only 4-6 clients until further notice*

Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). May be required to unload truck. Requires commercial drivers' license. Includes tow truck drivers.

Admissions
- Preferred applicants are over 21 years old
- Possess a clean driving record for at least one full year – for example, no points on your license and no suspension of driving privileges within the last year
- Must be registered with the PA CareerLink System and connected to a Philadelphia CareerLink Office (for more information individuals can call 1-833-750-5627 or visit www.pacareerlinkphl.org)
- Ability to communicate in English
- Must be able to attend training for 8-10 weeks Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and submit to immediate drug testing
