The aim of The Community Health Worker Certification Course is to provide prospective workers with the essential knowledge, skills, and resources needed to act as a bridge between health, social services, and the community. Its goal is to ensure equitable access to resources and services, addressing the diverse health needs of the community through outreach, community education, informal counseling, and social support. and advocacy. This certificate requires hours that meet in person as well as asynchronously/ online. In-person and online requirements are both mandatory.

Promote health within a community by assisting individuals to adopt healthy behaviors. Serve as an advocate for the health needs of individuals by assisting community residents in effectively communicating with healthcare providers or social service agencies.
