The courses in this program are administered by College of San Mateo in conjunction with the appropriate joint apprenticeship training committees (JATC). Registration is limited to those students fulfilling the related requirements of the State of California as indentured apprentices. Apprentices are trained through the union and work throughout the five-year training program, assigned to job sites just as journeyman electricians are through the union hall. Prerequisite: indenture in the Electrical Apprenticeship Program, approved by the California State Division of Apprenticeship Standards. Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required for all prerequisite courses.
