This course is designed for artists, beginner fabricators and hobbyists to learn welding safety and fundamentals. Students will practice the four primary processes of arc welding including: Stick, MIG, Flux Core, TIG and various cutting processes. While learning and practicing these fundamentals, students will acquire an understanding of what processes best suit their desired application.

Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

Admissions
Students must furnish their own pair of safety glasses and work boots and wear appropriate welding work attire, such as long pants, in the lab. Course takes place in the Advanced Technology Center.
