Clark Public Utilities has a limited lineworker apprenticeship program. We normally have three or four apprentices and one apprentice trainee in various steps of their apprenticeships. Most of these apprentices had worked in other positions with the Utility prior to becoming an apprentice. The positions they have held within the Utility include Line Helper, Utility Helper, Field Service Representative and others. Generally, we’re looking for apprenticeship candidates who have previous experience operating heavy equipment, working outside or in general or electrical construction.
