The MIG & TIG Welder/Fabricator Certificate provides students with specialized instruction in GMAW, GTAW, and metal fabrication. Students are also given opportunities to develop proficiency with shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), thermal and mechanical cutting processes. This certificate is designed for students interested in career pathways involving structural and decorative metal fabrication in shop-settings using carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Completing this program will prepare students to pass various American Welding Society (AWS) performance qualification tests. Safety and professionalism are stressed throughout the program. Students should consult with the College’s Admissions Office or an academic advisor in planning an appropriate program.
