Heating, ventilation, and air condition (HVAC) technicians install, service, and repair a vast array of systems that control the temperature and air quality in buildings. To prepare learners for a career in the HVAC field, students utilize the NCCER HVAC/R Program, a comprehensive four-level HVAC curriculum that complies with the Department of Labor time-based standards for registered apprenticeships. Each level is divided into two consecutive classes (Part 1 and Part 2). Instruction consists of both classroom (theory) and lab (hands-on) training throughout the program.
