Phlebotomists are primarily responsible and accountable for the collection of blood specimens from patients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. This program provides training in the correct methods of drawing blood samples by venipuncture, skin puncture, or arterial collection for medical tests and blood donations. The evening classroom training is followed by the daytime clinical, which allows students to utilize their skills and gain hands on experience in a local laboratory.
