Capital Transportation Academy’s CDL Class A Program is a five (5) week, 160-hour in-person training curriculum. Before you are able to drive a commercial truck, the law requires you to obtain CDL training to prepare you for the State of Ohio Class A CDL test. CTA offers personalized instruction to provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully pass your examination. Passing your exam will jump-start your career as a licensed commercial truck driver in the transportation industry.

Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). May be required to unload truck. Requires commercial drivers' license. Includes tow truck drivers.

Admissions
- Obtain your CDL temporary permit
- Identify your funding source.
- Are 21 years of age or older. (Enrollment of 18-20-year-olds is on a case-by-case basis. )
- Read, Write, Speak and Understand English
- Hold a VALID Ohio Driver’s license with no more than 4 points* (upon case-by-case approval)
- Pass the D.O.T (Department of Transportation) Physical and Drug Screening (included with tuition)
