Build San Diego in collaboration with AGC operates the state’s first and largest open-shop apprenticeship program. We are well respected throughout the industry due to the contractor management of our program and the skill, integrity, and responsibility that exemplify AGC members. Job duties:

  • Heavy equipment operators drive, maneuver, and control the heavy machinery used to construct roads, bridges, buildings, and other structures.
  • Safely and efficiently operate several types of power construction equipment with the latest technology such as (but not limited to), motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, loaders, excavators, backhoes, skid steers, etc.
  • Skills needed include reading and understanding site plans and communicating with others on the job site
