As certified members of the dental team, dental assistants provide a wide range of services drawing on knowledge of the dental sciences, specialized, clinically honed skills, and proficiency in office management procedures. Graduates of our 12-month Applied Technical Diploma (ATD) Dental Assisting program are awarded the Expanded Functions Certificate and the Dental Radiographer Certificate accepted by the state of Florida. Clinical training takes place in our on-campus dental clinic, Broward Dental Research Clinic (BDRC), and in community-based health facilities.
