Chabot College will schedule an intensive format for the Regular Basic Course/Academy. Present and past academies are made up of a variety of law enforcement agency recruits.
The academy is 1,064 hours in length. Please apply for the course on the Chabot College website http://www.chabotcollege.edu/ prior to the first day of the Academy. Use Google Chrome Web Browser.

Police and Sheriff's Patrol Officers
Maintain order and protect life and property by enforcing local, tribal, state, or federal laws and ordinances. Perform a combination of the following duties: patrol a specific area; direct traffic; issue traffic summonses; investigate accidents; apprehend and arrest suspects, or serve legal processes of courts. Includes police officers working at educational institutions.
