Pay:

$23-28/hour Job Description Operate one or several types of heavy construction equipment, such as motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, compressors, pumps, derricks, shovels, tractors, or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement. May repair and maintain equipment in addition to other duties. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth. Erect structures or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement. Repair and maintain equipment as needed. Ensure equipment is in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years experience running, maneuvering, driving, and navigating equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, rollers, and front-end loaders. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong preference for candidates with a High School Diploma. Accustomed to working outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions. Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Attention to detail. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, Virginia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
