The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in an industrial setting. This role requires strong knowledge of blueprint reading, welding, and mechanical assembly to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and repair piping systems according to specifications and blueprints. Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using various tools and machinery. Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain piping systems to ensure proper functioning. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Work with a variety of pipes including steel, copper, PVC, and other materials. Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other tradespeople. Perform pressure tests on piping systems to detect leaks and ensure integrity.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certification preferred). Proficiency in blueprint reading and technical drawings. Strong knowledge of different piping systems, welding techniques, and mechanical assembly. Ability to use hand and power tools effectively. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and procedures. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in pipefitting, welding, or related field. Experience with industrial plant installations and maintenance. Knowledge of advanced welding techniques and procedures.
